The Company
The MEREDITH DESIGN GROUP is a full-service company specializing in redesign of both residential and commercial properties. Our services include Staging® for real estate sale, Redesign of homes and office spaces, and Special Event Planning and Production.
As interior redesign consultants, we can completely transform your property at a much lower cost than traditional interior design firms. In addition, our event planning and production capability sets us apart from other redesign, staging, and remodeling companies.
Our offices and warehouse facility are located in Frederick County, Maryland. The MEREDITH DESIGN GROUP is affiliated with a team of top vendors and professionals in key trades. This allows us to provide our clients with access to a full range of coordinated services.
We primarily serve Frederick and all of Maryland, Northern Virginia, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, and West Virginia. In addition, the company has a satellite office in Westchester County, New York. We are fully licensed and insured.

The Founder
Laura J R Meredith began her working career by traveling the world of Pan Am. For 15 years, she took in the sights, sounds, and aromas of many cultures, both in the US and abroad. These experiences shaped her deep appreciation for color, texture, and the collection of artwork.
After Pan Am, she studied the technical and business sides of broadcasting at Los Angeles Community College and UCLA. While working at local radio stations, Ms. Meredith promoted Latin and World Music performers in the greater Los Angeles area. Among others, she assisted singer-songwriter Terry Steele (co-writer of “Here And Now” with Luther Vandross). These wide-ranging pursuits broadened her perspective of style and design and laid the foundation for her next venture—special event production.
During the next several years, she planned and produced special events in Los Angeles as part of the team at Images Event Production. Her assignments varied widely from small private celebrations to major corporate premieres, parties, and conferences. Her clients included Capitol Records, Jaguar Motor Cars, and Iwerks Entertainment—just to name a few.
Artistically, she possessed a keen eye for the practical skills of lighting, staging props, and décor. Just as importantly, she learned how to budget, schedule, and manage simple as well as elaborate productions.
In 1995, she moved to the East Coast and became involved in interior décor, landscape design, and construction management with her husband. What began as personal projects at her farm and homes, as well as for friends and family, has evolved into her profession. Today, at the MEREDITH DESIGN GROUP, she combines a West Coast flair with her admiration for East Coast style to serve clients in the Mid-Atlantic.
Ms. Meredith is a member of Interior Redesign Industry Specialists (IRIS) and an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP ®), and is listed on the Interior Redesign Directory. She is affiliated with the Frederick County Association of Realtors (FCAR) and the Realtors Association of York & Adams Counties (RAYAC).
